You are welcome to take a look at our free SpotOn event series. Today's focus is set on "Water Injection Molding".

The water injection technology (WIT) is a fluid-assisted injection molding process. Using this technology, the molding cavity is completely or partially filled first and then second, injected with water (WIT) as a fluid.

We are very much looking forward to our guest speakers >> Mr. Ulrich Stieler, Firma Stieler Kunststoff Service GmbH and >> Mr. Cyprian Golebiewski, AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH, who will provide an objective look at this special fluid-assisted injection molding technology. We are already eager to see, what they will present.

Additionally, our Mr. Cristoph Hinse, General Manager of SimpaTec, will give a detailed presentation on simulation-based analysis and optimization methods from the mold filling as the first step to the injection of the fluid (2nd phase). Results, such as the wall thickness distribution, allow conclusions to material or weight reductions and to export geometries for further structural-mechanical calculations. With variable process settings such as volume flow, filling level, material and mold temperature as well as fluid-specific settings such as filling pressure, holding and delay time, advantageous effects on the process and the distortion of the component can be precisely analyzed and optimized.
