You are cordially invited to take a look at our digital, cost-free event series SpotOn. This time we are focusing on facts about the fantastic world of elastomers.

The dimensionally stable but elastically deformable type of plastics opens up a fascinating variety of possibilities. They can deform elastically under tensile and pressure loads but always return to their initial, undeformed shape. Elastomers are primarily used when elastic properties are required. Typical product examples are seals, rubber bands, tires etc ...

Learn more about elastomers and their special properties, for example by taking a detailed look at the topic of viscoelasticity within this SpotOn. We would like to thank our guest speaker __ Mrs. Nina Krempl, responsible for research assistant at the institure for plastics processing at the Montanuniversity Leoben, for the detailed and interesting technical facts on this topic. The focus of the presentation of our guest speaker __ Alexander Näck, ALLOD Werkstoff GmbH & Co. KG, deals with "TPE materials for the particle foam process".

Our __ Cristoph Hinse, CEO of SimpaTec, will explain which role simulation plays in this process and how the potential of elastic and viscoelastic materials can be efficiently, fully and sustainably exploited as part of a holistic virtual product development.
