Ruben Paulig, Senior Development Engineer for the automotive industry, will show the auditorium how simulation can make a significant contribution to produce high-quality parts quickly and cost-effectively for thermoforming, laminating and IMG processes.
Using the latest applications and current components, the possibilities and limits of these techniques will be explained and cost potentials presented. In addition, it will be shown how sample plates can be used to provide a visual and haptic impression of the grain extract. In combination with the simulation results, a quality assessment becomes possible already during component development.

Thus, a feasibility analysis and risk assessment is already possible in the design phase.
Professional background: he completed his plastics engineering studies in Rosenheim. Today his responsibility holds all tasks of being the Senior Development Engineer for the automotive industry and his future challenges include the simulation of gripper system assisted vacuum- and pressing laminating of foil precuts.
