Hybrid SMC

SimpaTec participates in the joint project "Hybrid SMC", which is supported by grants from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia using funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Objective:
The aim of the joint project "Hybrid SMC" is to develop a holistic methodology using innovative hybrid materials to realize a cost-efficient series production of functionally integrated lightweight composite components based on sheet molding compounds (SMC) and thermoset injection molding compounds.
Within the scope of the project, SimpaTec focuses on the development of a simulation methodology for holistic virtual product development by means of combined process and structure simulation.
