A practical introduction to properties and processing of thermoplastic polymers
Whether you are an experienced technician or a career starter, mold maker, plastics materials professional, research engineer or project manager à BIMS 0 will provide you with important basics regarding the properties and processing of thermoplastic polymers as well as an deep understanding of the unique chemistry and structural complexity of polymer behavior. The aim of this seminar is to optimally prepare participants for the more advanced BIMS seminars, such as BIMS 1 or BIMS 2.


B I M S  1 seminar “Understanding the injection molding process of thermoplastics”
The BIMS 1 seminar focuses on being the key to successful, optimal part design as well as on the development of a deeper understanding of the processes in polymer physics and the complex interactions of phenomena during injection molding, independent of the scientific background knowledge.

B I M S  2 seminar “Understanding the mechanical properties of thermoplastics”
The BIMS 2 seminar focuses on optimal material selection, part design and part performance. Among other things, the stress and strain behavior of polymers, time-temperature effects, effects of crystallinity, notch effects and stress concentrations, micro-cracking of polymers, fatigue and creep behavior of polymers, physical aging of polymers, etc. are explained.
