Better simulation results due to more accurate modeling
ESPECIALLY FOR OUR USERS
In plastics processing, precise temperature control is critical for the quality and efficiency of the production process. Conformal cooling is an innovative solution that delivers coolant directly to the cutting zone or close to the molded part, rather than just to the surface.
Conformal cooling in Moldex3D refers to the software's ability to predict the effects of conformal cooling on mold design and performance. Moldex3D allows engineers and designers to simulate and analyze transient temperatures in the injection molding process. This enables a more accurate design of cooling channels based on the contours of the product to optimize the cooling rate. By using conformal cooling, cycle times can be reduced and product quality can be improved. Moldex3D is a useful tool to effectively take advantage of conformal cooling and increase the efficiency of the injection molding process.
With the conformal cooling add-on license, a wizard can be run to assist in the design. In the wizard, the model and a curve must be selected. The parameters axis direction, distance from cavity to cooling channel and cooling channel diameter must then be entered. The minimum distance between two channels is 3 mm. Note: 'preview' allows you to view the cooling channel without creating it.
