We are delighted to announce Philipp Land, Research Assistant University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück, as a speaker at our International SimpaTec Usermeeting 2019. His is going to introduce the project LightConnect, which deals with the substitution of an aluminum strut mount by fiber-reinforced plastics. Afterwards the focus is on the usage of Digimat in the project and the research: material calibration, combination of injection molding with fiber-tapes and the strut mount development.
Professional background: having successfully completed his master degree at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück in material technology he is now a research assistant for plastics simulation and fiber composites at their laboratory and in charge of the integrative simulation of short- and long fiber reinforced plastics in combination with thermoplastic organotapes and –sheets.
