SimpaTec awarded top innovator 2023!

SimpaTec has successfully participated in the Top 100 innovation competition. We are proud that we were able to convince with our innovation qualities and to have been awarded the TOP 100 official seal of 2023. The award is given to particularly innovative medium-sized companies. During an award ceremony takin place in June, Ranga Yogeshwar, who functions a mentor of the innovation competition, will personally hand over the TOP 100 seal to the management.

The competition is based on a scientific selection process. On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the comparison, scientific director Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and his team examined SimpaTec on the basis of more than 100 criteria out of five categories: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation, and innovation success. Of particular importance is whether a company's innovations are merely a product of chance or are systematically planned and thus repeatable in the future.

SimpaTec is extremely proud to be among the top innovators for the first time. The company’s core activities lie within the plastics industry and has made a name for itself in the field of holistic development and optimization of components, molds and processes in injection molding & FEM.

To ensure that all applicants have equal opportunities, the seal is awarded in so called three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200 and more than 200 employees. The interest this time around was particularly high as the TOP 100 competion took place for the 30th time and thus being an anniversary year. 550 SMEs applied, 300 of them were successful and now bear the TOP 100 official seal. A maximum of 100 companies per size category can be honored.
"TOP 100 is about the question of how important the innovation goal is within the company," says Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, scientific director of the competition. "Do routines and habits dominate or is the company capable to question the existing, to re-think creatively and to successfully implement them within the market? We analyze this ability using more than 100 test criteria," he explains.

All top innovators of 2023 will come together in Augsburg on June 23 for the award ceremony at the German SME Summit. Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate the SimpaTec management for their success at TOP 100. Our management is already very excited and feels honored to be able to shake the hand of one of the legendary "Quarks&Co." presenters.
