Moldex3D Foam Injection Molding (FIM) is the simulation tool which shows and predicts the complex requirements and characteristics of the process for the different polymers, fillers and process parameters and makes both physical and chemical foaming processes predictable. Fundamental calculation models of the physics of bubble formation and growth are used to realistically and three-dimensionally depict this complex technology. Results, such as the size or distribution of the bubbles, allows predictions regarding fill patterns, weld lines, and weight reduction.
